Home to more than 1,200 acres of developed park land, one of the highest per capita in the metroplex, its no wonder that the city of Carrollton was named by Relocate America as one of country's top 100 places to live in 2006. Combining that home town feel with urban convenience, Carrollton-Farmers Branch has become one of the most appealing and attractive family areas in DFW. Farmers Branch is one of fifteen metroplex cities to have DART transit services (with routes all the way into downtown Dallas), and by 2010 is scheduled to be served by the new light rail. For the slower paced, the area also hosts attractions like 'Old Downtown Carrollton' a unique historic shopping district with antique stores, restaurants and modern shopping all blanketed with that old town square feel.
