I attended Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas and graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in history. I began my career in the financial services industry. For over forty years I served as recruiter and trainer for hundreds of agents, teaching the subjects of home mortgages, insurance, debt consolidation, and securities products, such as mutual funds. I retired as a regional vice president for a subsidiary of Citigroup. During my time I won numerous awards in the financial services industry for sales, management and leadership achievements.

I have worked in the real estate industry as a Realtor, from 2005 to 2008. I have served as a member of the Temple-Belton Board of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors in addition to being a multi-million dollar producer, serving both sellers and buyers, in real estate.

During my free time, I enjoy oil painting on canvas and working with ceramics. My wife and I have been married since 1976, and she and I enjoy the shared hobby of our dogs, three Whippets and one Doberman Pinscher.
