This has brought global attention to the area with scientific researchers and tourism to study the heavens while enjoying the Texas hospitality and the picture perfect sunsets across Lake LBJ.

While there are no big box stores in Horseshoe Bay, there is a well stocked Bayside Fresh Market in town and fifteen minutes away is an H-E-B and a Wal-Mart Superstore.

Horseshoe Bay Resort is the home of the Robert Trent Jones Apple Rock course and the Jack Nicklaus par 72 Summit Rock golf courses. There are seven restaurants ranging from the poolside casual fare at Café del Sol to sophisticated lakeside dining at the Yacht Club where people still wear suits and cocktail dresses for dinner.
