Nov 21 - Bee Cave - 7th Annual Tree Lighting & Santa’s Arrival

Thursday, November 21st at the Hill Country Galleria! Enjoy holiday music by The Vintage 15, face painting, and holiday carolers! The fun starts at 6pm, then Santa will arrive at 7pm along with the lighting of the holiday tree, and a FREE firework show! The CW Star, Taylor Ellison, will be on hand to help us welcome Santa! Nov 23 - The Domain - Annual Lighting of the Great Tree

Saturday, November 23rd at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy holiday performances by acclaimed singer and songwriter Phil Vassar and the Outside Voices youth choir, the lighting of The Domain's 40-foot tree and a spectacular fireworks show. Daytime activities start at noon and include face painting, balloon twisting, caricature drawings, holiday crafts and photos with Santa! Nov 29 - Dec 31 - Bastrop - River of Lights

Bastrop River of Lights walking trail is located in Fisherman’s Park and continues all the way down the Lower Colorado River to Ferry Park, about a half mile. The River of Lights is open the day after Thanksgiving and every night until New Years Eve from 6 – 9 PM. Click here for more info.

Nov 29 - Georgetown - Lighting of the Square

Experience the magic as they kick-off the holiday season with their annual Lighting of the Square, traditionally held at 5:30 p.m. the Friday after Thanksgiving! Sing along with the Austin Carolers to your favorite holiday tunes and warm your tummy with cookies and hot chocolate! Watch as the Courthouse and the Downtown Square become a Holiday Wonderland! Nov 30 - Downtown Austin - Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade

The parade will be in Downtown Austin beginning at 11am. Bring a toy! The new toys collected will be for Operation Blue Santa. The parade will run from the south side of the State Capitol, south on Congress Ave to Cesar Chavez. Click here for more info.

Dec 1 - Zilker - 27th Zilker Holiday Tree

The Zilker Tree stands 155 feet tall and is composed of 39 streamers, each holding 81 multicolored, 25-watt bulbs - totaling 3,309 lights. At the top of the tree, a double star measures 10 feet from point to point. The double star displays 150 frosted bulbs. This unique spiral pattern of lights was created by City of Austin electricians. At its circumference, the tree measures 380 feet. The diameter is 120 feet. The base of the tree is made up of 19 utility poles, each 14 feet tall, arranged in a circle around the Moonlight Tower. Click here for more info.

Dec 1 - Round Rock - Reindeer Run 5k and Fun Run

Rock'N Lights Holiday Light Tour kicks off Dec. 1 with the Round Rock Rotary Reindeer Run 5k and Fun Run. This will be the only opportunity to run/walk through the show! The Reindeer Run benefits Round Rock’s Play for All Abilities Park. The 2013 Reindeer Run is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 at Old Settlers Park. Click here for more info.

Dec 2 - 31 - Round Rock - Rock’N Lights Holiday Light Tour

Rock'N Lights Holiday Light Tour is back and bigger and brighter than ever! Come and experience the second annual Rock'N Lights Holiday Light Tour featuring all new displays and the new Christmas Towne at the Old Settlers Association. Rock’N Lights is a drive-through light show that features thousands of sparkling lights through Old Settlers Park from Dec. 2 to Dec. 31. Dec 2 - 13 - Round Rock - 12 Days of Main Street

The City of Round Rock and Round Rock Arts bring the holiday celebration to downtown -- and honor the classic Christmas song -- with the 12 Days of Main Street. From Dec. 2 to Dec. 13, you'll find activities to put you in the holiday spirit. Events take place at various locations in and around downtown (see schedule).

Dec 6 - Cedar Park - Tree Lighting and Santa’s Workshop

On this magical night starting at 6:30pm, join us in the tradition of lighting the tree. Over 60,000 lights illuminate the largest Live Oak Tree in Cedar Park. Santa's Workshop will kick-off immediately following the tree lighting ceremony. Enjoy live music, carriage rides, games & prizes, inflatable, photos with Santa, and arts & crafts projects. Dec 6 - 7 - Georgetown - Christmas Stroll

Friday, December 6th, 5pm to 10pm & Saturday, December 7th, 9am to 8pm. The 33rd annual Christmas Stroll in Georgetown's downtown square. It will transform into a genuine Christmas card come to life. It’s a magical setting of a multitude of trees outlined with twinkling white lights, old fashioned lamp poles, wandering minstrels, and carolers, and a myriad of visitors sharing holiday cheer and good tidings. Suggestive of picturesque Norman Rockwell holiday illustrations, your journey begins Friday night with the sounds of children serenading with sweet Christmas songs. Saturday we will welcome Santa to the square, listen to classic holiday carolers, stroll along magical main street with sparkling lights and jolly window displays, munch on wonderful holiday treats at the bakery and candy store, tease the Grinch in Whoo-Village, lunch on some festival foods, and enjoy shopping in every nook and cranny with our 250 plus vendors! In addition, visit the square’s diverse shops and delectable restaurants.

WHOO-VILLAGE: Meet the Grinch & Hug a Whoo! A wacky & wonderful FREE play zone. It will be filled with new FREE kid’s rides! Dec 6 - Lakeway - Lights On!

The City of Lakeway will sponsor its annual "Lights On!" Holiday Celebration on Friday night, December 6th from 6:30 - 9:00 PM in the Lakeway City Hall parking lot (1102 Lohmans Crossing at the corner of Sailmaster) and the area directly behind City Hall. Children of all ages are invited to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus on this most magical of nights. Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph will 'plug in' the Trail of Lights display and be available to speak to all of Lakeway's good little boys and girls. The Trail of Lights will be lit for the first time this season and continue nightly from 6 PM - midnight through the end of the month. Other festivities will include the official dedication of the historic Liebelt Cabin. Delicious hot dogs and Cuban sandwiches will be available for purchase along with hot chocolate, coffee and snowcones. Activities will include cookie decorating and marshmallow roasting. Dec 6 - 31 - Lakeway - Trail of Lights

The Trail of Lights display is located just behind Lakeway City Hall and may be accessed by parking either at City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road, or at the Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek Road. It will be 6:30pm-midnight at Corner of Sailmaster and Lohmans Crossing in Lakeway, TX. Come see thousands of twinkling lights! See amusing tableaus, all accompanied by delightful seasonal music! For those attending who may be in wheelchairs or for those with baby carriages, please park at City Hall and access the Trail by walking down the front sidewalk to the right and around the building. Bicycles and motorized vehicles such as Lil' Rascals and golf carts are not permitted. The Trail of Lights will continue nightly from 6:00 PM until midnight through the end of December. Dec 6 - Round Rock - 12 Days of Main Street

The City of Round Rock rings in the season with the annual Christmas Family Night celebration on Friday, Dec. 6, starting at 6:30 pm on Main Street in our historic downtown. The event kicks off with a welcome from Round Rock Mayor Alan McGraw, followed by the illumination of the street and water tower with holiday lights. Then Santa makes his grand entrance. During Christmas Family Night, downtown historic Round Rock is decorated with small wooden houses which host various games and activities. This free event includes activities for the entire family including live music, dancers, candle making, carriage rides, game booths, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus and more. Children should bring their "wish lists" for Santa Claus (pictures are a nominal fee) and parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras for pictures with Santa. Plus, enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn, hot chocolate, and other refreshments, activities and snacks. Enjoy performances throughout the evening at Prete Main Street Plaza. The Round Rock Public Library hosts a puppet show and has Christmas ornament crafts, letters to Santa and a craft sale. Christmas Family Night is organized by the City of Round Rock and made possible thanks to the help of community groups and organizations that donate their services to offer this fun and free event. Dec 7 - Texas State Capitol - 2013 Capitol Tree Lighting & Sing Along

Start your holidays downtown on Saturday, Dec. 7, during the annual Holiday Sing Along and Downtown Stroll! All events are free and open to the public. The evening starts at 6 p.m. when crowds gather on the south steps of the Capitol to sing the songs of the season. As the clock strikes 7 p.m., the countdown to the lighting of the Capitol tree begins, featuring a programmed light show at the top and bottom of every hour, set to holiday songs of local Austin musicians. From 7 to 9 p.m. Congress Avenue will be abuzz with holiday cheer during the Downtown Stroll. Shops, restaurants, galleries and museums will be open late and will feature special activities and offers. The highlight of this year’s event is an aerial dance performance by Blue Lapis Light at 816 Congress, "Love’s Prayer." Additional Stroll activities include classic holiday cartoons at the Paramount Theatre, Santa in an airstream photo booth, a special holiday Farmers’ Market with Sustainable Food Center and much more. Visitors are asked to support fellow members of the community by bringing non-perishable food or cash donations to the Capitol Christmas tree for the Capital Area Food Bank. Dec 7 - Elgin - Holiday by the Tracks

Dec 7 - Elgin - Lighted Christmas Parade

Sponsored by the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department, this annual parade is a favorite of the locals as well as the many visitors it attracts. You will be sure to enjoy the creativity and diversity of the many floats. This event takes place the first Saturday of December at dusk. The parade route follows Main Street from 11th to Brenham. Dec 7 - Leander - Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

Their annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting takes place every year on the First Saturday in December. This year’s event will be on December 7th, 2013 starting at 5pm. They will have Pictures with Santa, Holiday Hayrides, Yule Fire, Choral Performances, Christmas Parade, and Tree Lighting. It will be located at 200 West Willis. Click here for more info.

Dec 8 - 22 - Zilker - Trail of Lights

This year, visitors to the Trail of Lights will have a host of new reasons to celebrate their holiday in grand Austin style. With two weeks of fun, there are more opportunities to enjoy the Trail. The Trail of Lights will last 2 weeks this year from Dec 8 thru Dec 22. There will be more than 50 displays and exhibits, over 100 trees wrapped in lights, three lighted tunnels, Community Performance Stage featuring performers from local community groups and schools, North Pole area featuring Santa’s House, H-E-B children’s book give-away and children’s activities, Main Stage featuring local, regional and national headliners including Ray Benson, Vallejo, The Whiskey Sisters and Austin High School Ballet Folklorico, Live artist demonstrations will be held nightly. Area artists will create custom Trail of Lights displays in the New Arts & Entertainment Area. This year they have added photo zones! Don’t forget the Trail of Lights 5k Run! Dec 13 - 22 - Buda - Trail of Lights

Get in the holiday mood by strolling through the park and enjoying the lights! Between Dec 13 and Dec 22 visit the Historic Stagecoach Park from 6-10pm to view the Trail of Lights. Free shuttle parking is available at Cabela's. No parking is permitted in the park. Walk in visitors are welcomed and may bring leashed pets. The trail is approximately 1/2 mile long. Dec 14 - Bastrop - Lighted Christmas Parade

It’s Bastrop’s famous Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14, 2013. More than 100
entries, from fanciful floats to fire trucks, from Honey Bears to longhorns, from Santa’s helpers to the man himself, will light up the Main Street night for this joyful Bastrop tradition, produced by the

Dec 14 - Pflugerville - Christmas Light Parade

The Christmas Parade will be hosted by the Knights of Columbus on Saturday, December 14 with lineup starting at 4:30pm. It will end with a Santa on a float at the end of the parade. It will begin at Pfenning and Railroad Avenue, continue down Railroad Avenue, turn onto Main Street, turn north on 4th Street and end at Wilbarger Street. Click here for more info.
