Rodeo Austin returns! It runs March 1st through March 16th at the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo (9100 Decker Lake Rd, Austin, TX). There will be a variety of family fun, including a carnival, live music, livestock shows, a petting zoo, dog shows, pig races and the expected rodeo excitement of bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and much more. South by Southwest 2014 comes to the Austin Convention Center beginning Friday, March 7th and runs through Sunday, March 16th! Get ready for another exciting week mixing music, film, technology and plenty more at SXSW 2014. With keynote speakers including Neil deGrasse Tyson, Chelsea Clinton, Lena Dunham, Marc Webb, SXSW will feature another stellar lineup of leaders in all industries, as well as an endless stream of film screenings, music showcases and more to keep anyone entertained all across Austin. Ballet Austin's SXSW and Ballet Austin Special Dance Week will be Friday, March 7th and through Sunday, March 16th at Ballet Austin (501 West 3rd St, Austin)! The 86th Annual Zilker Kite Festival returns to Austin Sunday, March 9th! It will be at Zilker Park (2100 Barton Springs Rd, Austin) beginning at 10am. It is the nation’s oldest kite festival and will attract over 20,000 people to Zilker Park! It is one of Austin’s most famous annual events put on by the Exchange Club of Austin. There will be kite flying, contests, food, games, and more! Attendance is free for all ages!
