2014 DFW Fiber Fest

The 9th annual DFW Fiber Fest will be held at the Irving Convention Center on March 28 - 30th. This festival will feature the best of the knitting, crochet, spinning and other fiber arts craft community. The fest will offer workshops and other educational opportunities to further your knowledge of all things fiber art! The featured teachers will be Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, Melissa Leapman, Abby Franquemont, Galina Khmeleva, Myra Wood and Patty Lyons. This year's Keynote Speaker will be The Yarn Harlot, internationally known knitter and blogger. Come celebrate your art for 5 dollars a day ($10 for weekend passes). 2014 Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival

The Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival will take place March 27 - 30th at several venues around Fort Worth. Featuring the best culinary talents of Fort Worth, the festival will hold several signature events throughout the weekend. There will be a Kickoff Party on March 27th, the Grand Tasting on March 28th, Tastes of the World, Burgers, Brews and Blues, Museums and Mimosas, and Sip and Savor events on Saturday the 29th; among other events. A benefit for Meals on Wheels will be held on Sunday as well. The festival is for 21 and over only, and tickets range from $70 to $135 dollars. The Magic & Mystery of The Great Trinity Trust

The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture will present The Magic & Mystery of The Great Trinity Trust, a full day celebrating nature at the Trinity River Audubon Center on March 29th. The Great Trinity Forest, covering almost 7,000 acres, is the largest urban hardwood forest in the U.S. (New York’s Central Park is 840 acres)–and only 8 miles from Downtown Dallas. Mysteries abound in this expanse of raw nature–wild turkeys, raccoons, wolves, bobcats, and feral hogs share an undisturbed habitat. At the event, there will be outdoor family-style yoga with Equinox, a private tour of the Great Trinity Forest and a children’s program with tree planting, nature journals and a picnic in the forest. Walk MS Fort Worth 2014

Walk MS: Fort Worth is taking place at 9 am on Saturday, March 29 at Trinity Park. Walk MS connects people with people living with MS and those others dedicated to creating a world free of multiple sclerosis. Participants, volunteers and fundraisers alike will experience a day to come together, to celebrate the progress we've made and to show the power of connections.

2014 Mudbug Bash Crawfish Boil

Downtown Dallas, Inc., 105.3 The Fan, and Jack FM present the 2nd Annual Main Street Garden Mudbug Bash. Mudbug Bash is a celebration of all things spring in Dallas. Drinks, live music from Jonathan Tyler, Jay-B & the Zydeco Posse and The Inner City Allstars, games and plates full of crawfish are what guests can expect at this event. Klyde Warren Park presents 2014 Spring Celebration

Klyde Warren Park will host Spring Celebration on Saturday March 29th from 12-5 pm. The Celebration will feature family-friendly activities such as a petting zoo, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting and crafts. 2014 Crawl Deep Ellum

The Crawl Deep Ellum event takes place March 29th, at several establishments in one of the oldest and most established neighborhoods in Dallas. Anvil Bar, Reno's Chop Shop, Green Room, Work, Twilite Lounge, Wits End, Angry Dog, Adair's and Elm Street Bar Live - will allow attendees an opportunity to explore the eclectic neighborhood while enjoying discounted drink specials along the way. Palooza Events has also partnered with BvB Dallas and will be donating a portion of all ticket sales to the organization and its continued efforts against Alzheimer’s disease.
