The 4th Annual Arlington Turkey Trot will take place on Thanksgiving morning (Nov 28 @ 8am), allowing runners and non-runners alike to get a little exercise and support a good cause. It will be at the Ranger’s ballpark in Arlington. Proceeds will go to support The Shoe Bank, a Metroplex-based non-profit organization dedicated to recycling used shoes in its efforts to put comfortable, dependable footwear on men, women and children and helps over 30,000 needy people annually. The Forest Park Medical Center North Texas Turkey Trot time has arrived! Thursday, November 28th at 8am thousands will gather for the North Texas Turkey Trot! Start Thanksgiving with some family fun. The Forest Park Medical Center North Texas Turkey Trot will feature 10K, 5K and one-mile runs for people of all athletic abilities. Kids and pets are welcome. For more information click here.

Time for the 2013 Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot sponsored by Capital One Bank! It will be Thursday, November 28 at 9am. The 46th annual Capital One Bank YMCA Turkey Trot Run is expected to attract nearly 40,000 participants for the Turkey Trot’s 8-mile race and 5K fun run. The popular event benefits programs that help the YMCA to strengthen the foundations of the community. For more information click here.

The Ugly Sweater Run TM is going to be at Fair Park on November 30th at 8am! Rummage up the Ugliest Sweaters you can find and celebrate the Holidays by participating in the best 5k of the year. Join thousands of runners and walkers from around the nation at a local Ugly Sweater Run near you. If you’ve never run a 5k before, this is a great way to burn some calories before receiving hot chocolate and a choice of Sam Adam’s Winter Lager, Boston Lager, or Angry Orchard Hard Cider. The run is approximately 3.1 miles long on city streets and through parks. The start line will have huge inflatables, photo stations, and awesome holiday music. Once you’re on the course, you’ll find holiday themed stations at every mile. You can ditch that Gatorade because you’ll be able to replenish those electrolytes at the good ol’ fashioned hot chocolate station on the course. Awards for best real mustache, best fake mustache, best beard, worst sweater, best sweater will follow the race. For more information click here.
