2014 MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival
Fort Worth will hold it’s 29th annual the MAIN ST. Arts Festival in Downtown Fort Worth this weekend. Texas’s largest arts festival is free, runs four-days, and spans more than 27 blocks from the Tarrant County Courthouse to the Fort Worth Convention Center while showcasing 213 hand-selected juried artists.
It's also Fort Worth’s largest, free music festival, with more than 120 performances throughout the weekend, including local and national entertainment acts and musicians, performance artists, dancers and street performers. Culinary options from local restaurants, beer and wine tastings, family-friendly arts-and-crafts activities and more complete the scene. Dwell with Dignity presents Spring 2014 Thrift Studio Preview Party
Thrift Studio is a not-like-any-other-thrift-store thrift store. Kicking off with a preview party on April 10, Thrift Studio is a bi-annual 30-day pop-up shop created to provide financial viability and fundraising for Dwell with Dignity through selling donated furniture, housewares, accessories and high-end designer finds to the public. All proceeds benefit the future work, growth, organization and structure of Dwell with Dignity.
Each Thrift Studio offers fabulous designers who design and install vignettes using items from the Dwell with Dignity warehouse as well as items they have donated from their own inventory or through their industry connections. 2014 Celebration! White Rock 5K/10K and Festival
The inaugural Celebration! White Rock is a one-night race and festival that lets runners enjoy beautiful lake views while ensuring it stays beautiful for years to come. Proceeds from the event will go toward beautification projects in and around White Rock Lake Park. The event kicks off at 6:30 pm with a 5k and 10k race. Entry fees are $40 for the 10k race and $35 for the 5k race, do your part and show your support!

2014 Dallas Art Fair
The 2014 Dallas Art Fair will feature over 90 prominent national and international art dealers and galleries representing painting, sculpture, works on paper, photography, video, and installation by modern and contemporary artists. Located at the Fashion Industry Gallery - adjacent to the Dallas Museum of Art in the revitalized downtown Arts District - the festival is in it’s sixth year. Fair hours are Friday, April 11 and Saturday April 12 from 11am to 7pm, and Sunday April 13 from noon to 6pm. For more information on artist, tickets and more, visit their website.
Heart of Vickery Meadow Walk and Community Festival
The first annual Heart of Vickery Meadow Walk and Community Festival will take place on Saturday, April 12 from noon to 2pm. This is a joint effort of Heart House Dallas, Sam Tasby Middle School, the Vickery Meadow Improvement District (VMID) and Trans.lation; and will work to raise awareness in the community and about the exciting programs happening to benefit the children of Vickery Meadow.
The event will include a one-mile family fun walk, an Easter egg hunt and access to the Trans.lation White Cubes Galleries from 1-4 pm. The community festival is from 12-2 pm and includes craft vendors, games, food, music and entertainment.
The cost to participate in the walk, which includes a t-shirt, is $5 for children ages 5-17 and $10 for adults ages 18+. Children under 5 are free. The Festival is free to attend. You must register by March 27th to ensure you get a t-shirt, register here.
