Fiesta De La Flor Music Festival

A two day festival of music art and more, Fiesta De La Flor is a celebration of the life and legacy of local artist Selena. With over ten musical acts from all over the country music has always been the highlight of the festival. But in addition to music, there are other activities going on the whole weekend that the entire family can enjoy. From the “El Parque” kid zone that features games and activities for kids to the One Person Unites Us panel featuring Suzette Quintanilla and Adrienne Houghton. Tickets are on sale now!

The Birdiest Festival in America 2019

Hosted in South Texas, the Birdiest Festival in America is a collection of guided field trips through the some of the best bird sightings in the country. With a diversity of geography, the coastal bend is the prime location to see many different species in a very short period of time. From Couch's Kingbird, Whooping Crane, Buff-bellied Hummingbird, White-tipped Dove, Groove-billed Ani, and Green Jay just to name a few! With an extensive schedule, there is plenty to enjoy even if you can’t attend the entire event.

A coastal bend springtime tradition is Earth Day Bay Day! Celebrating it’s 20th year, the event is sure to be a great one. This year will feature a green tech expo, drone demonstrations, and other booths with STEM career info. Exhibits this year will include the Victoria Zoo, Texas State Aquarium, Texas Parks & Wildlife Coastal Expo and Game Thief Trailer and more. Don’t miss this free and family-friendly event that celebrates the great natural gifts of the local area.

Texas SandFest 2019

Port Aransas - Texas

Texas SandFest is one of the best springtime traditions in the coastal bend area. Hosted on the beach at Port Aransas, this competition is fun for competitors and visitors alike. From the master sculpture competition, to live music, vendors and more, the weekend is full of fun for your entire family. Friday begins at 9 am, with the Master’s Gallery Open, and continuing with vendors and live music. Saturday, the Amateur Contest begins along with more music, vendors, and activities. Saturday continues the competitions, music, and fun with the winners announced in the afternoon. Whether you can make it the whole weekend or just an afternoon, don’t miss out!

Join the USS Lexington Museum on the Bay, The Texas Ladies Living History Group, and the Lone Star Living History Crew as they bring the life of the crew during World War II to live aboard the ship.
