AUSTIN, TX - Nov. 12, 2013 - HomeCity Real Estate showed its support of the Travis County Brown Santa by sending a team to volunteer HomeCity group photoalongside Trinity Title last Tuesday. Brown Santa is a community service project that helps thousands of families who need assistance providing gifts and food for the Holiday Season.

“Our local community is very important to us and HomeCity prides itself on giving back to the community. Being a local Austin based company, the Brown Santa program is near and dear to our hearts,” said Keith Dunham, C.E.O. of HomeCity.

The Brown Santa program was founded by the Travis County Sheriffs office, and began in 1982 with a small number of deputies helping about 25 families in the unincorporated areas of Travis County. Since then, the operation has grown exponentially, serving 1704 families last year in 2012.

“I love helping out the community. Brown Santa is a really important cause, and a great way to help. We all had a really good time,” said Virginia Baker, Marketing Specialist at HomeCity.

HomeCity Real Estate’s commitment to community involvement is exemplified through its continued participation in community service events. HomeCity plans to collect non-perishable food items for the Capital Area Food Bank at its upcoming Holiday Party, and at its office and events during the month of December.
