As spring approaches, you might be looking for some ways to take in all that the local area has to offer. From some traditional and non-traditional Valentine’s Day ideas to some fun ways to give back to the community there is plenty going on in the area this February.

February 14th - Love Stinks Executive Surf Club

A unique alternative to a traditional Valentine’s day. If you are in the mood for an “anti-Valentine’s Day” event, join the Executive Surf Club for live music by Drive and great drink specials are going on all day long.

Feb 15 – Feb 17 - 2019 Corpus Christi Songwriters Festival

A great time to see many local artists in the Corpus Christi music scene. This year’s lineup over the three day event includes over 30 acts to listen to and enjoy. Not just a concert series, this event features songwriting workshops, mixers, awards, and more. Musical acts include locally and nationally recognized songwriters from many different genres.

Feb 16th -  Glenn Miller Orchestra

An unofficial local tradition is the annual stop of the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Hosted at the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, you can enjoy original pieces by Miller himself in addition to other big band his and other favorites. A great idea for an unforgettable Valentine's day outing!

Feb 22nd - February Wine Tasting

As spring can start to be felt in the air, there’s nothing quite like an open air wine tasting and live music. If you are looking for a chance to enjoy a great venue like The Goldfish with some amazing samples guided by a level 2 sommelier, you won’t want to miss this event.

Feb 23rd - 2019 Big Shell Beach Cleanup

In it’s 24th year, The Billy Sandifer Big Shell Cleanup is an amazing time to get out of the house, gather with friends and neighbors to cleanup our beach. With over 8,000 volunteers last year, this event continues to grow each year and it’s impact is always apparent in our community. Don’t miss a chance to be a part of this one of a kind way to give back.
