“When Austin Got Weird” Exhibit opens

Take a trip down Austin’s memory lane at the Bob Bullock Museum with the “When Austin Got Weird” exhibit. Although it was not officially trademarked until 2000, people have been proudly identifying with our cities slogan for quite some time. Using music poster art that captures the spirit of the counterculture movement of the 1960s and ’70s, the exhibit explores the poster artist and music venues that defined Austin’s cultural scene between 1967 and 1980. The exhibit opens Friday, July 11 and is on view through September 14th. For more information, visit their website.
