Cool Thursdays Concert Series
When it’s happening: Thursdays until October 30th
The 2014 Cool Thursday Concert Series, held on the Martin Rutchik Concert Lawn, will feature new national acts playing every Thursday. Acts include: The Landsharks – the World's Premier Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band, The Official Blues Brothers Revue – produced by Judy Belushi Pisano and Dan Aykroyd and returning favorites such as Emerald City, Asleep at the Wheel and the Molly Ringwalds. 2014 Main Street Days - Grapevine
When it’s happening: May 16th - May 18th
The 30th Annual Main Street Days opens Friday, May 16th at 10 a.m. and admission is free until 5 p.m. The fest will feature a special craft brew experience offering more than 30 craft beers to taste. Attendees can enjoy family activities like the KidCave, the Grillin Competition at the Town Square Gazebo, and multiple stages featuring live music, kids stage shows and other performances. There will also be more than 80 locally-owned shops, galleries, restaurants, jewelry stores, boutiques and more lining Main Street during the fest. Come join the fun with your family! 2014 Fort Worth Music Fest
When it’s happening: May 16th and 17th
This music festival, held at the Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, will celebrate Forth Worth’s deep musical roots. At only $40 for a two day pass, this fest is a steal! Food Truck Frenzy brings Dallas’ most popular food trucks to the Esplande at Fair Park. Participating trucks include mad Grill, Texas Burrito Co., Rockn’Ricks, Butchers Son, Ssahm BBQ, and Cupcake Garden. 2014 Food, Wine & Jazz Festival
When it’s happening: May 23rd - May 25th
The first annual Food, Wine, and Jazz festival will be held at the Hilton Anatole. Guests can enjoy live music from jazz trio Fingerprints and jazz pianist Scott Bucklin, as well as a variety of domestic and international wines and gourmet food front he Anatole’s chefs. Classics at Klyde Warren Park
When it’s happening: Every Saturday in May
A series of classic movies will be played at Klyde Warren Park, every Saturday this may at 8 pm. There will be lawn seating available on the Ginsburg Lawn facing a screen hanging from the Muse Family Pavilion. Dallas Morning News film critic Chris Vognar will provide a brief introduction prior to every movie. Dallas Memorial March 2014
When it's happening: May 25th
Carry The Load will present the Dallas Memorial March, an event designed to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day by connecting Americans to the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel.
The Dallas Memorial March provides an opportunity to walk for 20 hours and 14 minutes to remember, honor, and celebrate our nation's heroes. You can join in the Memorial March at any time during the 20 hours and walk even for just a few minutes. Everyone is invited to participate no matter what your fitness level or ability.
