The Design District Market features local artists, jewelry designers, photographers, vintage shops, and more! Taking place on Saturday, August 23rd, this free indoor/outdoor market showcases some of the best shops around the DFW area. Local food trucks will also be on sight to purchase eclectic food and drinks. Local musicians provide chill summer tunes throughout the day. Guests can also cool off from the Texas summer heat in the Progressive Waste Solutions customized “Dumpster Pool.”

2014 LEGO KidsFest
Starting August 29th running several times until Sunday, August 31st kids can attend the LEGO Kidsfest! This event brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in one activity- and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests.
There will be a LEGO Model Museum, where you can walk among miniature and life-size models, built entirely of LEGO bricks; the LEGO Club & Master Builder Academy, a way for kids to learn skills that will make them better builders, and will teach them the fundamentals of design, engineering and art through LEGO bricks; a screening of The LEGO Movie and more. 2014 Dallas DanceFest
The Dance Council of North Texas will present the inaugural Dallas DanceFest on the weekend of August 29th, 2014! The three-day event promises to deliver excellence, vibrancy, vitality and diversity in dance. DDF features performances by Dallas luminaries including Texas Ballet Theater, Bruce Wood Dance Project and Dallas Black Dance Theatre in addition to established, emerging, and academic dance companies and artists.
Dance Council Honors coincides with DDF on August 31. This year’s honorees include Nita Braun (posthumous honor), Suzie Jary, Beth Wortley, Buster Cooper (posthumous honor), Joe Cutaia and Ann Briggs-Cutaia and Dylis Croman. The afternoon begins with a reception followed by a program that includes performances by 2014 DCNT Scholarship recipients, professional dance companies, a silent auction and the Honors awards presentation. 2014 Clearfork Music Festival
The second annual Clearfork Music Festival moves to Panther Island Pavilion, located along the scenic Trinity River. Held on Saturday, August 30th at noon, the festival will include musical performances from bands performing indie rock, psychedelic rock, and more! The Black Angels, The Bright Light Social Hour, The Burning Hotels, Wild Child, Holy Moly, Andy Frasco, Lincoln Durham, Larry G(ee), Son of Stan, Thomas Wynn and the Believers and Spoonfed Tribe are among the scheduled performers.
The festival will also feature food trucks, craft beer, art installations and more. 2014 Dallas Home & Garden Show
Saturday September 6th - 7th, the 31st Annual Dallas Home & Garden Show will feature the NARI New Products Pavilion, Dallas County Master Gardeners, a KidZone and more to help homeowners maximize their money by minimizing costs.
More than 250 consumer-product vendors, service companies and experts will be on hand at the two-day show. Fields represented will be home décor, remodelers, building products, kitchens, baths, outdoor living, pools and spas.
