San Antonio Home Sales Indicate a Continued Seller's Market

Home sales leveled out after the summer boom while still remaining at a record high for this time of year. September reported 2,725 homes sold, a nine percent increase over this same month last year according to the Multiple Listing Service Report from the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) which reports on all areas contained within the MLS. Both average and median sales prices showed healthy growth as well, with an average sales price of $270,147 and a median of $237,200. The month ended with 3.7 months of inventory available, indicating a continued sellers’ market.

From Film Festivals to Salsa and Everything In-between!

The nation’s original and longest-running Latino film festival returns this summer. Presented by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, San Antonio’s annual celebration of independent Latino cinema will take place at the historic Guadalupe Theater, featuring premiere screenings, master classes, receptions, after parties, and free community events. The festival will also include free Family Day screenings, a Youth Program showcasing San Antonio student filmmakers, and a Senior Screening for the area’s elderly film lovers.

Home Sales in San Antonio Increase During the Month of April

San Antonio – Home sales in the San Antonio area climbed six percent compared to this month last year for a total of 3,003 sales, according to the Multiple Listing Service Report from the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR) which reports on all areas contained within the MLS. Average sales price and median sales price each increased four percent year-over-year, with the average price rising to $267,071 and the median reaching $230,700. The month ended with 3,182 sales still pending (301 more than at the end of April 2018), and months of inventory continued its streak of remaining below four months, with April reporting just 3.7 months available.

The San Antonio Market Remains Healthy During the Month of March

The San Antonio Market saw growth as the median price increased 3% this March compared to last year. With a total of 2,907 of closed sales and a 5% increase in sales, the market is looking good as we move into the Spring. “The fact that our prices have not skyrocketed like in other markets but rather have remained steady bodes well for the health and stability of our market, and I think you’re seeing more and more people taking advantage of that,” said Grant Lopez, SABOR’s 2019 Chairman of the Board.
